Boarded Training

            Boarded training is ideal for dogs of any age with a variety of behavior problems that make it hard to get started, or as a substitution to private lessons. This program is designed to have your dog trained by our professional staff while staying in our care. We will work with your dog individually in many different environments, teaching basic obedience and manners.  Our specialty boarded training programs are tailored to specific behavioral problems such as aggression and housebreaking.  We also offer a quick start and maintenance program.  For each week of boarded training, you will receive an in-home lesson to teach you how to continue training your dog to ensure success.   

o       One Week

During the first week of boarded training, we will focus on walking on a loose leash with control.  Your dog will learn how to walk with you using the commands “let’s go” and “stop.”  Positive reinforcement will be used to teach name recognition, “come,” and praise (“good boy, good girl”).  Basic manners will also be addressed to eliminate behaviors such as jumping, barking, biting, etc.

o       Two Weeks

When your dog is boarded for two weeks, the first week is the same as One Week of boarded training.  We will continue to advance the loose leash walking and basic manners during the second week of the program.  Positive reinforcement will also be continued for name recognition, “come,” and praise.  The “hup up” on a table will be introduced to your dog, as well as a “sit.”

o       Three Weeks

When your dog is boarded for three weeks, the first two weeks are the same as when your dog is boarded for the Two Weeks program.  During the third week, we will continue to work on the table exercises and add a sit/stay.  We will also introduce a “down” and down/stay.   

Price: $750

o       Each Week after Three Weeks

For each additional week you board your dog, we will maintain the previous learned behaviors, adding more precision and advancing exercises according to your dog’s skill level.  We will add more distance and time to the sit/stay and down/stay.

            Specialty Boarded Training Programs

o       Problem Therapy

                        For dogs with people and/or dog aggression, your dog will be boarded with us for 2 weeks to 
                                resolve the issues.  An hour lesson will be

                                given at the end of two weeks to teach you how to continue training to ensure success with your dog. 

                                Price: $600

o       Housebreaking

                        For two weeks, we will work with your dog teaching basic obedience and correcting housebreaking
                                 issues. You will also receive a

housebreaking book to serve as a guide.

                                Price: $600

o       Quick Start (3 Days, 2 Lessons)

                        For a quick start into obedience training, your dog will stay with us for three days and will 
                                 be introduced to walking on leash, basic

                                manners, come command, sit/stay, and down/stay. Two lessons will be provided for you to 
                                learn how to be more proficient in teaching

                                your dog obedience.

                                Price: $270

o       Maintenance (3 Days – Current/Past Clients)

                        Ideal for clients whose dog needs a refresher in obedience.  Prerequisite: Any training program.
